I resently bought this buggy from LHS. When the buggy lands hard or hits something, the engine would stall.

How can this problem be rectified?

It's from the chassis flexing and rubbing the flywheel causing it to stop.

What you need to do is get the better braces on it to cut down on the chassis flex.

It looks like the flywheel is hitting the brakes when the chassis flexes. Do you know if I can use a different fly wheel? (which one)

Does anyone know of a part number for this brace?

Do you have any shims in behind the flywheel?  Like behind the tappered collar?  If the buggy was RTR then their might be some there and it might be worthwhile taking the engine out to see if you can remove those shims.  I actually jsut had to do the exact thing on a buggy when I went to quad brakes.

There might be. It is the RTR eb4 s2 Pro. I will check that.

I had a look at my buggy today. Founf the problem. The flywheel is rubbing against the brake pad bolt when the chassis flexis.

It is quite hard for me to understand why I must fix some thing that never broke. It is hard to believe that TT can build a buggy and put it into production with such a bad design fault. There isn't must to do to the centre diff to create a clearance.

I tried to remove the spacer behind the fly wheel to move it backwards to create more of a clearance. If the spacer is removed, the flywheel rubs against the engin block.

One other option would be to go and cut half of the flywheel width away. But such a thin flywheel would damage the starter box wheel.

Has anyone found a solution to fix this problem on this buggy. (eb4s2 pro)????????????

You could try a small shim behind the tappered collar that whould keep the flywheel far enough away from the engine.  That and the better braces...

Found a solution after stripping half of my buggy. I drilled a small countersunk at the hole on the brake pad next to the flywheel, and replaced the standard screw with a new countersunk head screw. I've now got a gap of almost 2mm between flywheel and brake pad.

Thanks for all the advice.
